Lyman began creating worlds in 2014 with his first book, Ghost One while being challenged to do what was called NaNoWriMo or National Novel Writing Month. A challenge that pitted him versus the ability to create a novel with 50,000 words in one months time. To that point, the longest he had ever written was while in college and term papers. 

Not daunted by the task, he dove head into writing something that he knew and that was his military service. Using his knowledge and understanding of all things military, he crafted a world for in the military fiction series and the writing art form was begun.

Since, he has written another book of the Ghost One series and began a journey into the imaginative and other worldly places that only can be called fantasy. From ghouls and ghosts, to creatures, to fantastical lands where magic is formed, these stories became a reality. 

In his free time, he works a regular job, spends time with his lovely wife and their dog. Living in Kansas most of his life outside his military years, he has found that quieter living is where he feels best. The calm quiet mornings, the quiet streets of the city he lives in with less than 14,000 people, allow him to think and create at varying times of the day.

While writing is his passion, he also loves to take nature photography as a means of exercise and another creative outlet. This allows him to see the nature of what life is other than people and gives him more to work with when coming up with creatures for his stories.
